Meadow Flowers Wall Hanging

This charming drawing of meadow flowers has been created with a 3D pen and TPU flexible filament. Working with a 3D pen is literally drawing with plastic.

I've recently started using a TPU filament which is made up of recycled bits from footwear waste. I love that I'm using a waste material to make art.

The artwork was inspired by the abundance of wild flowers in the meadows near my home and features poppy, harebell, field scabious and oxeye daisy.

The filament is heated inside the pen and is discharged in a melted state so the lines and loops drawn stick together and cool forming the "lace" artwork. TPU filament is extremely strong and durable despite the delicate appearance.

The lace drawing hangs beautifully from a wooden dowel. It measures 61cm in height and the width is 46cm.

The wall hanging will only be effective against a light coloured, plain wall. It is incredibly light in weight which makes it very easy to hang.
