About
I have been making art in one form or another for as long as I can remember. When I’m not creating art, I’m thinking about what I’m going to make next.
I’ve made fun sculptures with glue sticks and wire. I’ve painted with acrylic on canvas. I’ve used coloured glue sticks on canvas and I've mixed it up with both acrylic and glue sticks on canvas. I’ve created wall hangings with 3D printer pens using recycled TPU filament and cut up plastic milk bottles to make flowers.
For the last six years I have lived in Wensleydale which is stunning. I have been so inspired by the awesome beauty of this area and all of the Yorkshire Dales that I’ve been drawn into a new direction and that’s painting preserved leaves.
I love the idea of making art from something that has served its purpose. I began pressing fallen leaves that I found on my walks and painting local scenes on them which is incredibly satisfying. Oak leaves are my absolute favourite.
These small artworks are varnished and carefully framed using archival materials.
I also recycle our used plastic milk bottles. They are scrubbed clean, cut into flower shapes and heat formed into beautiful sculptures.
Basically I’m not a one trick pony. I love to play and experiment and have fun with my art. When I no longer feel the joy in what I’m doing, I know it’s time to move on with my next new obsession!
